Meet the Therapist:
Megan Barron, MA, ATR-BC, LPC
My name is Megan Barron and I am the counselor and art therapist at the Center for Therapeutic & Creative Arts. I specialize in the therapeutic treatment of children, ages 4-14 years old, who are experiencing distress related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, medical & mental health diagnoses, grief & loss, emotional dysregulation, and stress. Over the past ten years I have gained a variety of clinical experience from working in residential, medical, nonprofit, and school settings. For the past seven years, I have been an elementary school-based counselor and art therapist. I feel privileged to be able to bear witness and share in the experience of healing alongside clients and their families.
I also really enjoy teaching and have experience working with students from early childhood through to the graduate level. I look forward to eventually expanding CTCA to include offering a variety of fine art instructional classes as well.
